Anna Kendrick just made ,,You're Gonna Miss Me" by Lulu and the Lampshades world's new trend when she performed it by a cup on film called ''Pitch Perfect". It took not so much time and now cups are just everywhere! Girls just gone crazy about the song and how to performe it by a cup! If you youtube it you will find many videos in which girls show other girls how to do it (girlsception, right? :D).
Although, not so many people know about the origins!
The song is very old! Like really! In the internet years its like before dinosours! 1937 - right before second world war! :o
Many thinks that the cups were created by "Pitch perfect". No it isn't! Girls called Lulapinga put their video in which this song is performed by cups for very first time! They sing duet and do it very well.
Its such a shame, that ''Pitch perfect" just copied it. :/
Although, the song is great and Anna Kendrick just made video for this song.
If you haven't watch film yet, check it out, its really great!
